Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from low-income homes. Many of them are English Language Learners with little to no English exposure. Despite the hardships some go through, they still manage to log into our virtual classroom with smiles on their faces. When they enter my class, they are curious and eager to learn!
My students are innovative, creative, and excited to learn.
Our school is 90% English Language Learners. It is very unfortunate that due to their socioeconomic status, my students do not have the same opportunities that they strongly deserve to become successful learners. Distance learning is a huge challenge and even more difficult if you do not have all the necessary materials.
My Project
This project will assist me in getting more laptops in my classroom so that the students don't have to take their laptops back and forth to school each day. If we don't have the technology we need, it is very difficult for students to be successful in the classroom.
Technology is essential for hybrid learning.
During hybrid learning, students are still using laptops daily. I want to make it easier for them and have some laptops in the classroom. During this school year, some of the laptops have become damaged or broken by taking them back and forth each day between home and school. I would like to try and prevent this from happening.
