This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love the diversity of teaching in a Title I school. I have students who are from various cultures. Many of those, are newcomers to the country. Most have limited exposure with multiple forms of technology. The one constant, is being able to use a laptop.

I would love for my newcomers to have access to a classroom laptop that is very "student friendly", to utilize for a multitude of uses.

Having this technology will make it easier for them to work on educational programs (reading, writing, & speaking), daily classwork, and other projects with more confidence. Being in a new country is hard. Not being familiar with the technology is even harder. My goal is for them to feel more at ease using technology in their new classroom environment.
