Since I teach middle school students, projects like this help them connect creativity with character-building in a meaningful way.\r\nOne special classroom moment was when students worked together to create kindness stickers with phrases like \"You Matter,\" \"Keep Going,\" and \"Be the Reason Someone Smiles Today.\" They designed these stickers to give to classmates, teachers, and even staff members as small reminders of encouragement. It became more than just a craft project—it turned into a lesson about empathy, positivity, and how small acts of kindness can make a big impact.\r\n\r\nThe students were genuinely excited because the Cricut made the project feel special and professional. They loved watching their designs come to life and took great pride in creating something that could brighten someone else's day. Many students were especially motivated knowing their work would be shared throughout the school community.\r\n\r\nThe next steps for our students are expanding this project by creating kindness campaigns connected to writing and reflection activities in class. Students will write short reflections about how kindness affects school culture and continue designing messages that promote positivity and inclusion. Since I teach 6th grade ELA, pencils, highlighters, and colorful materials are used every day for reading, writing, and close annotation activities. Students immediately grabbed the highlighters to mark text evidence and key details during our reading lessons, and they loved using the colorful materials to organize their thinking for essays and projects.\r\n\r\nOne special moment was during our argumentative writing unit. Students used the highlighters to identify claims, evidence, counterclaims, and rebuttals in mentor texts before creating their own essays. The colorful materials helped them map out their ideas clearly, and the glue sticks allowed them to complete interactive foldables for their writing notebooks. The storage organizers also helped keep our classroom supplies neat and easy to access, which created a smoother learning environment.\r\n\r\nThe tissues and Lysol wipes have also made a huge difference by helping us maintain a clean, healthy classroom space where students feel comfortable learning.\r\n\r\nMy students were genuinely grateful and excited because these resources made them feel prepared and supported. Their next steps are continuing to strengthen their STAAR writing skills by practicing extended constructed responses, improving text evidence analysis, and building confidence as independent writers.
