Laptop Desks for Floor Work

My Students

I have 25 students in my fourth grade classroom. My classroom is multi-culturally diverse and my students have a desire to learn in a student-centered classroom. Education is going through a transformation right now and I want to improve the environment and items to keep up with the expectations. Over the past two years, I have purchased yoga balls, stools, kick bands and standing table risers. I recently received funding for swivel stools to use at the standing table. The swivel stools are loved during technology rotation , however, there is only room for 5 students.

The students would also enjoy spreading out during technology rotation to the floor.

My goal is to provide technology tables for them to utilize.

My Project

My students are given the choice of movement and choice of seating in my classroom. They enjoy yoga balls, standing tables, kick bands, and new stability wobble stools. All of the seating options are used at a table or desk. I would like to give them an option to use on the floor too.

The new laptop desks will be used on the floor by the students.

The students will be able to sit on the floor with a computer stable on the table of the desk. The desks will give the students more movement opportunities with the laptops within the classroom.
