Language Learners

Help me give my students some new language and literacy lessons to help build enthusiastic learners.

My Students

I have 20 wonderful students who are eager to learn and enjoy doing lessons. I have 8 Pre-Kindergarten students and 12 Kindergarten students. They mostly come from low-income families and several are from single parent homes. Most are receiving free and reduced lunch.

We have weathered two hurricanes in the last two years and my students could use some new exciting lessons to help further their learning.

They are so interested in new things and learning. I love their enthusiasm.

My Project

My students are struggling with literacy and reading. The Alphabet Tubs will help my students with beginning sounds and helping to recognize letters. The rhyming puzzles will bring my students a new way to practice their rhyming skills. The opposites puzzle will also help my students learn to use antonyms at an early age.

Most of my students do not have access to materials to help further their reading skills.

These materials will provide lots of learning activities and give them new lessons to try. My students love being read to and I want to encourage them to read for themselves. I am hoping that some new objects will help spark their interest in language.
