This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year I transitioned to a new position within my school as an English Language Learner Interventionist to assist students with learning English as a second language. These students are amazing to work with. Their drive for success is so profound. I am inspired daily by their work ethic to learn skills based in a new language.

Because the levels within a given classroom are always so diverse, teachers are often differentiating and making content accessible for all students.

Tie this into the different levels at which students have successfully acquired the English language offers a new level of intensity for student learning. Through the use of structured and leveled centers within the classroom, I hope to be able to meet more students at their individual levels rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. This listening center will assist me in doing so with the use of listen-to-learn projects and assignments. Please help us accomplish all of our goals for the next coming years.
