My students need a laminator for our centers and games. Laminating the materials for centers and games make them last longer which saves paper and ink.

My Students
What makes my students special? I have thought about this question for awhile and I keep coming to the same conclusion: they are special because they want to learn. They are special because they come to school every day and challenge me to give them the best education they deserve. My students are special because they need me as much as I need them.
Most of my students come from a low-income area and often cannot get the basic supplies they need.
We send out supply lists every year and I have noticed that students are bringing fewer and fewer of the required supplies.
This means I have to buy more supplies every year. I don't get reimbursed for any supplies or extra items, yet I buy them every year without complaint because I believe in my students and I think they are beautiful inside and out. They need to know that people care about them and their education.
My Project
My school requires us to do centers and since I have been doing them, I've noticed how my scores have gone up. My students enjoy being able to move around the class and they learn so much! I have also found that math games are great for basic fact review and they also help with some difficult concepts.
Laminating my centers and my math games make them last a lot longer, especially with 6th graders using them.
Most sixth graders do not handle items with care so it seems like I'm always reprinting things. I would also like to laminate some of my students work to hang up in the room and hallway.
