Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are from MA. We are a special education, hands-on, preschool classroom. Each of my students has an autism diagnosis. In my classroom, we work on various skills such as activities of daily living, routines, ABA, and social skills.

We have a variety of levels in our classroom, ranging from severe autism to mild.

We also have many students who are non-verbal, as well as having physical disabilities.

Our students who are non-verbal utilize communication devices to be able to use their voices when requesting their wants and needs.

My Project

We are making materials for our classrooms for students to use. These are to supplement the curriculum materials we have. In order to do this, we will need to print them. Once they are printed, we would like to laminate them so that they will last longer and more efficient for our autism programs.

Our school was not provided with materials with our curriculum, which means we have to make everything from scratch.

Once we make the materials, we will laminate everything and disperse them to the appropriate classroom programs.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
