My Students

My PreK students are four years old. They are highly inquisitive, energetic, loving, curious little sponges who are eager to learn all about anything and everything!

My PreK students are the littlest learners in our public elementary school.

They are currently mostly learning virtually, with 12 of the 18 coming in, staggered on three different days, for a small group lesson once per week. Six of them are learning completely virtually right now.

Despite their limited connection to school, there isn't a topic they AREN'T interested in, and my job is to foster their love of learning!

My Project

Our little learners do not use worksheets. All of the activities we use in PreK are hands-on. The problem with virtual learning in what should be a hands-on environment is that our students cannot touch the materials they see us using daily on the virtual format. They need game boards, number and letter cards and practice pages laminated for use at home.

By laminating items from our classroom, we can enable the PreK pals to touch, manipulate, examine, and write on the learning materials over and over!

Laminated pages can easily be sanitized, but, even more importantly, laminated items can be reused indefinitely!
