Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our English Language Learners need many visual hints and prompts to help them learn the new language and navigate through their new school. That means we add new vocabulary to our posters, new concepts, we change the posters to support current learning, I think you know what I am describing here. We also try to decorate the classroom with some seasonal decor and of course with students' own work. To do all these, I am often climbing on the chairs, desks, and tables.

This material will not only make this work easier for me but also much safer.

The stepladder will help me hang posters on the wall, the long laminating sheets will allow me to keep and reuse the academic material (e.g. sentence strips, posters) and the rolling cart will help us keep our many folders and writing materials organized by grade. The live plants will make our classroom more welcoming and homey. The Raid plug-ins will keep the bugs away from us now that we are finally going to have a nice warm weather.
