My students need defensive mannequins and shooting spots to help our girl's middle school basketball team develop their basketball skills.

My Students

My athletes are in a small, rural school district. I am one of the coaches for the middle school girls basketball team in our district. As a coach, I am always looking for different drills or equipment that help to develop the players understanding of the game.

My athletes are eager to learn developmental skills and grow as basketball players.

They are a young team with a ton of potential. The equipment that I am asking for will help the team to develop their offensive skills.

My Project

The Illini Bluffs Lady Tigers are in need of defensive mannequins and shooting markers to increase their basketball skills. The donated items will be used by our 7th-grade and 8th-grade teams.

The girls will use the defensive mannequins and the shooting markers to help develop their offensive moves when shooting.

The mannequins give the girls a "person" to attack when driving to the basket. The shooting markers will give the girls a visual of where to go when we are running our offensive plays.

Both items will help make the players and the team better during their offensive skill development.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
