Lady Mustang Basketball

My Students

The Lady Mustang Basketball team competes in Region II 3A and is made up of 24 athletes. On average, these students spend upwards of twenty-five hours a week consumed in athletes. On the playing field, in the weight-room, watching film, or being actively involved in a competition. During this twenty-five plus hours, coaches can easily become consumed with the day to day x’s and o’s of coaching. However, programs must also realize the powerful influence they have over these student-athletes. Athletic organizations should consider their objective and inspire success both on the playing field and in life. The Mission of the Lady Mustang Basketball Program is to enrich personal development by cultivating a group of athletes that serve as leaders and role models. As a result, we as a coaching staff strive to create opportunities for our athletes to compete at a high level while exposing our young ladies to new opportunities.

My Project

This year we are excited to announce that our team was chosen for participation in a Holiday Classic in Hilton Head Island, a basketball tournament to be held December 21 – 23, 2018. Of the many teams that expressed interest, the selection committee selected only six girls’ and six boys’ teams to participate in this 38th Annual Event. It is an honor for our team to have been chosen for participation. Financial costs are often a barrier for our students participating in events such as this. That is why we are seeking your assistance. Please support the Lady Mustangs as we purchase needed equipment.
