This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Using lab supplies, students can explore real-world phenomena. Through experimentation, they gain practical experience and develop critical thinking skills as they analyze results, draw conclusions, and solve problems.
Students will be able to independently gather and return lab equipment when it is organized, easily accessable and visually easy to see.
Currently our lab equipment is housed in large totes with all lab supplies mixed together, our lab storage room is in need of a makeover. It is our goal as a science department to provide a more organized and neat space for our students to gather materials.
Our students love working with lab supplies such as glassware, thermometers, weights, tin foil, copper, tennis balls and many more items. As students study energy they set up labs with glassware, chemicals and thermometers. Utilizing clear bins to store lab items creates a safe and organized lab day routine.
