I began hanging my posters and new culturally inclusive signs around the classroom. My students were obviously overjoyed at the abundance of resources such as pencils, new markers, lined paper, and notebooks as well! In our Technical Writing class, students now have their own colorful arrangement of notebooks that they are able to express themselves with in their down time and expand their thinking beyond just a routine creative writing prompt. \r\n\r\nThe students were very excited as they noticed boxes upon boxes arriving to my classroom to fulfill our needs to succeed. The organizers will allow us to stay on task and create a neat and tidy space to have graded work placed before handing it back to the students for review. Additionally, the inspirational posters from famous African American historians greatly impact our student's positivity and overall encouragement to continue to push through difficult moments in life and lessons in school.\r\n\r\nI truly cannot thank you enough for donating these wonderful resources to our classroom, especially knowing that I was unable to be present during my maternity leave and a good portion of the resources were definitely used up.
