Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This Donors's Choose fundraiser is for the incredibly dedicated KPOP dance club at our school. The students are more than just a group of faithful fans and avid dancers, their love for BTS provides a caring friend group, a net of support during the sometimes difficult years of middle school.
These girls have a deep and abiding love for dance and KPOP, and they bring so much enthusiasm and joy to their practice.
They recently learned the complicated routine to "Blood, Sweat and Tears" by BTS over five months, and performed it live! This took a great deal of determination, working through difficult moves, limited practice space, and nerves! After the final performance, these girls were so proud of what they had accomplished (as was I!!), confident in their ability to achieve their goals, and bonded even more tightly as a loving group of friends.
This is why I want to take them to see their favorite group, BTS, live at the Oracle Arena in Oakland. This money would pay for the lowest ticket price and BART fare to and from school. Seeing BTS live in concert would truly make their dreams come true!
My Project
Students will get the rare opportunity to see the KPOP group BTS, who do not often visit this part of the globe. They will also bond together as a dance team, and experience insane amounts of joy! They have worked very hard this year practicing different BTS routines, and now they will have the opportunity to see them live.
This experience will motive them even more to reach their dancing goals, and bond them together as a loving group of friends.
It will also provide them with the experience of seeing some of the top dancers in the world. BTS, as a group of performing artists, work very hard at their craft, always practicing and improving, which makes them positive mentors for these students. Seeing the show they put on will only inspire my students to work harder to reach any of their goals!
