My Students

My school is a Title I school with a diverse group of students. Pencil and paper learning was not made for my students; we are constantly trying to make things come to life. We are an active bunch that learns through discussion, activity, and collaboration. There is nothing typical about my 5th grade group.

Students need different activities to encourage them to be problem solvers and better communicators.

Our school is a strong community full of hard working students dedicated to learning. We love to learn through STEM activities and team building.

My Project

These kits will be used multiple times per trimester to give students a new entry into their learning each year they will be reused. Students will gain experience working with peers in a collective effort. They will utilize a wide range of problem solving skills, and students use a hands-on approach that will take their understanding of the content to a deeper knowledge level. I am seeking to bring fun problem solving to a wide range of content areas for my 5th grade students. This project also includes opportunities for kids to stretch their creative and cooperative brains in ways that are unplugged and engaging.
