The students were so excited when they first saw the colorful notebooks, special pencils, markers, and writing folders. Several of them immediately asked, \"Can we start writing right now?\"—and of course, we did!\r\n\r\nWe've been using these materials every day during our writing block. One of our favorite projects so far has been creating \"My Thankful Book.\" Each student got to brainstorm things and people they're thankful for, write sentences using our new word charts, and decorate their pages with illustrations. The pride on their faces as they shared their books with classmates was priceless.\r\n\r\nThe new supplies have helped build confidence and joy around writing. Students who were once hesitant to write are now eager to grab their materials and get started.\r\n\r\nOur next big step is launching our \"Winter Story Workshop,\" where students will plan, draft, and publish their own seasonal stories. It's a wonderful program, but as a Title I school, we couldn't afford all of the materials that go with it. Before receiving these resources, my students were using homemade laminated paper, which worked for a while but was flimsy and made writing practice challenging.\r\n\r\nWith the new writing supplies, my students can practice on sturdy surfaces that support proper handwriting. The excitement on their faces when they first saw the materials was priceless. They couldn't wait to start writing!\r\n\r\nOur classroom also received a projector, which has made an incredible difference. Our district only provides TVs, so students couldn't trace or see letter formations modeled on the board. With the projector, I can now display and model writing strokes in real time, helping students better understand how to form letters correctly.\r\n\r\nThese resources have truly transformed our writing lessons and boosted my students' confidence and enthusiasm.
