Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My athletes are all talented, hardworking, and extremely motivated young men. They poses qualities that exceed the average student athlete today. They poses qualities such as self confidence, a strong sense of motivation, and optimism.
Track & Field is a individual as well as a team sport that allows young men to set goals for themselves and for the team.
These young men work very hard In the classroom as well as on the track to ensure that they reach their goals. They understand the sacrifices that they must make in order to become champions. They also understand that their attitude determines their altitude.
In order for these young men to compete successfully, they will need numerous resources to help enhance in areas of endurance, power, speed, strength, and health. A healthy mind lives in a healthy body.
My Project
The mini hurdles will allow my athletes to keep their knees up and increase their running speed .Incorporating mini hurdle drill into their daily routine will create great muscle memory.
The resistance bands will help improve muscle tone and strengthen their legs as well as improve their core.
With the use of the resistance bands my athletes will be able to target certain muscle groups in which they need to improve in order to be a successful track and field competitor. The cones will be used to improve my athletes quick movement skills as they work on lateral movement drills.
