This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Every year my students enjoy building a K'Nex car to carry an egg and a ping-pong ball safely down a ramp. This is a great opportunity for students to work on problem solving and also gives them a chance to practice their team building skills. My K'Nex pieces are old and beginning to break. We need some replacement pieces so that I can continue this STEM(Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) project with my gifted students.
STEM projects cover multiple gifted objectives for my 2nd and 3rd grade students.
Having these replacement pieces will allow my students to keep exploring their creative ideas through this engineering challenge.
The K'Nex building sets that I am requesting will not only give us replacements for the broken pieces but will allow plenty of extras pieces for the students to show me their creative ideas.
