Organization is important for success in my gifted classroom. I have six classes that rotate in and out of my classroom throughout the day. Binders are a great way for students to keep up with their work. My classes are 45 minutes each. Students sometimes need more than one class period to complete an activity. With each student having their own binder, students can easily get their binder off the shelf and continue where they left off the previous day.\r\n\r\nThe folders are perfect for sending my monthly newsletter home to parents along with any other information that I need to send home. I like the variety of colors. We have already had, covid, strep, and flu in the room. The gift of Kleenexes and Lysol sanitizer spray has helped keep the germs down as much as possible. We usually see a spike in illness when school returns every year. Thanks to you we can keep the classroom disinfected to help prevent school absences as much as possible. \r\n\r\nThird grade is a very stressful grade since we are a state tested grade. The calm strips on the desks help them focus when we are testing and working. I have a large group of ADHD so anything that helps them focus is a win for us all. The gift of file folders has helped me tremendously to keep all of our learning materials in order and planned out for the entire school year. We have started our project on plant propagation. Students have taken cuttings from several indoor plants. Students either put the cuttings in water or soil. The students have been excited to see roots forming in the containers of water. The test tube propagation stations has been a great way to save space. It is nice to have extra chairs now so that my 2nd and 3rd grade students don't have to drag their chairs around with them.
