This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My Spanish class is a place where students will be challenged to learn new things. They will be motivated to speak Spanish and take their learning and put it into practice in their community and at home.

We are a school with a diverse student ethnic population.

The students are hardworking students who come eager to learn every day. They are knowledgeable thinkers, inquirers, and communicators. They want to learn Spanish because it is a 21st-century skill that will help them in their future careers and jobs.

My Project

A year ago, a group of students came up to me to help them start a Boys Volleyball Club in our school. They mention their interest to me because we only have a girls team and not a boys team. We started last school year with a Club to show that there was interest in having a team, and this school year 2019-2020 they are finally are going to start with practices and playing some games. The students don't count with a new uniform or with other basic supplies needed. I want to support my students, and that is why I'm asking for some knee pads that they can use in the practices and the games they play. They are excited about this new opportunity that they have to start a new volleyball boys team.
