Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a school in East Los Angeles, California, where ninety-nine percent of our students are Spanish speaking and come from a low-income background. All of our students qualify to receive free breakfast and lunch.

My students enjoy learning and excel in hands-on activities such as science and math projects.

Also, my students show interest in integrating technology into their learning. They are kind, smart and willing to help each other while working in the long distance learning. They love and enjoy coming to the virtual learning class every day. They are always excited to begin a new learning day.

My Project

The Kn95 masks will help students limit exposure to airborne particles and large fluid droplets that can carry Covid 19 while they are in school.

It is also tight- fitted which minimizes the leakage around the edges when the student is inhaling.

In addition these masks provide high level of filtration, filters out at least 95% of large and small airborne particles that will help my students be safer while they are learning in the classroom.

The iPad will allow me to project and share students’ work in a safe distance. Thank you for your generous gift to HAES students. We are thrilled to have your support. Through your donation we will be able integrate technology into our everyday learning. Your donation is going toward making sure students are able to use technology in the classroom everyday. Students will be able to use the iPad during math, writing, science, reading, and problem solving. Also, students will create class presentations.
