My Students

Reading should be fun for all students. Learning the basic skills is important for kindergarteners as they begin to cuddle up with books.

I teach 21 WONDERFUL kindergarteners in an Inclusion environment.

We are a Title One school serving low income families. Many students receive free and reduce lunch. The students in my environment are learning how to read and I want the students to learn the importance of reading.

My Project

Teaching students to read should be fun! After practicing reading with the students, the book goes home and more practice is available for students. I would like to add a set of the King Series student six pack of books and the teachers to help guide and provide independent reading in my classroom. The books will also be used during my guided reading time as students are learning how to read.

By funding this proposal, you will provide my students' with a great beginning in learning their reading skills that will enhance their lives forever.
