My Project

My Pre-K students are learning that their voices matter and that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference. They are curious, thoughtful learners who enjoy helping others and sharing positive words with their friends.

In our classroom, we are building a foundation of kindness, empathy, and communication through shared reading experiences.

I am requesting a collection of social-emotional learning books to help guide meaningful discussions and inspire positive interactions.

These books will help students:

Develop empathy and emotional awareness

Practice using kind and encouraging words

Strengthen listening and comprehension skills

Build a positive classroom community

These stories will directly support our kindness initiative, where students create and share uplifting messages that can brighten someone’s day. By connecting literature to real-life actions, students begin to understand the power of their words.

As a National Board Certified teacher in Literacy through the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, I thoughtfully select materials that support both strong communication skills and positive social development in young learners. #FillEveryShelf
