Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Next school year, I am switching grades. I'll be teaching twenty-four first graders. I look forward to teaching them a developmentally appropriate curriculum that blends social and emotional experiences with academic learning. I want to prepare my students for future success.
Our school's mission is to empower learners to thrive in the 21st century.
Our school serves a large population of English Language Learners with diverse backgrounds. It is a Title I school and all of the students receive free breakfast and lunch.
My Project
Kindness is one of the most important life skills to teach a child. I want to teach my first-grade students to be kind and caring. I want them to know that their actions can make the world a better place.
With these books about kindness, I will be able to teach about kindness throughout the school year.
Students will be able to enjoy them during read alouds and independent reading. These books will show students about random acts of kindness and how to be a good friend. By learning and being kind, students will feel better and happier.
