This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My school is a large urban community that welcomes families from all over the world. We are a Title 1 school in a low income community. I have twenty seven kindergarteners in my class this year. My students come to school with different experiences and background knowledge. Most of my students have never been to school before. Free breakfast and free lunch are served to all students in our building everyday. Everyday with my students is fun, and full of surprises.

My Project

My students will use the Kindles in their daily literacy and math centers. These Kindle Fires will help my students stay engaged while learning. My students would use the Kindles across the curriculum, especially letter recognition, phonemic awareness, practice their sight words, math skills, science and social studies. It will make learning more fun and more engaging for them. It will bring their learning to life. I want my students to learn all they can, and become more comfortable with technology. Your donation will change my students lives for the better, they will love learning and achieve success at an early age.
