This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Please help get my students an Amazon Kindle for leisure reading in the classroom. The kindle will be used during group reads and also free reading time. The kindle allows our class to read a much wider range of books, from both amazon and the local libraries. Using new technology will also help prepare my students for the future, and possibly college.

Using the Kindle will help students access so many other books we don't have in the classroom.

This will help to motivate my students to read more and be adventurous with their choice of books. We can set the kindle up and connect it to our local library and borrow books that way. This also allows us access to even more books for the classroom. Expanding our classroom library will help students become more motivated readers. Students will also use this new technology to learn from and utilize.
