My Project

My students are most engaged and ready to learn every day. I have seen significant progress on them throughout the year, making me wonder how to support them through the summer to prevent the summer slide.

Providing a variety of learning tools for them to take home for the summer will help continue my students engaged in practicing reading, writing, and math skills throughout the summer.

The phonics and sight-words journals are great materials to practice reading and writing skills along with various leveled books. The math-building skills wipe board and markers will help them continue practicing their numbers and math skills.

These materials will provide students and their families with a fun summer learning experience and avoid the summer slide that each family fears for their kids.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
