My Students
What makes my students so great? They all come from very diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. In my classroom of 16 students, there are 4 different languages spoken and 4 different countries represented.
My students come to school everyday with an eagerness to learn.
Every morning I am greeted with smiling faces and positive attitudes. Each day is a new adventure and I am so glad to be a part of their journeys.
The students at my school come from many different backgrounds, 40% of them are English Language Learners (English is not their first language) and 90% of them live at or below the poverty line. 100% of our students receive free breakfast, lunch, and snack while at school each day. Despite these hardships, my students come to school everyday with a smile on their faces and an eager to learn and do their best.
My Project
My students love science and doing science experiments. If you are going to do science experiments, you should look the part! Lab coats and safety glasses will allow students to feel like they are scientists.
STEM and science are such important pieces of a balanced education.
By outfitting my scientists with lab coats and safety goggles, not only will it make them feel special and like scientists, but also teach the importance of safety. Wearing a lab coat will give them the confidence that they are real scientists. It will also help bring the whole experience to life! The more engaging we can make science, the easier it will be to create life long scientists.
