This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Hola a todos! Hello everyone! I have 24 Kindergarten students in our Dual Language program this year. The school enrolls 86% economically disadvantaged students. The majority of my students did not attend preschool and this is their first time at school. Many are so eager to be at school, express themselves in two languages, and explore their new environment.

My Project

The Legos's and Straw Constructor Kit will allow me to create STEM centers to keep all students engaged inn the engineering process. Students will work in pairs to plan, and build projects. These STEM Fridays will allow me to observe how students interact with their peers, problem solve, and their creativity.

The Glue will be used for a slime activity in which students will observe the chemical change that occurs when mixing the ingredients.

And the Tie Dye will be a fun end of the year activity that also incorporates a chemical reaction.
