Kindergarten Sensory Table

Help me give my students access to a classroom sensory bin so they can practice their fine motor and language skills while learning how to regulate themselves.

My Project

My students this year were between the ages of 2 and 4 during the peak of the pandemic. Due to quarantine and social isolation, they missed out on important early childhood experiences that help develop speech, regulation, and fine motor skills. Out of my 16 students, 8 are receiving speech, OT, and/or counseling services.

My students this year deserve the opportunity to have experiences in the classroom that help them develop their language skills, their fine motor skills as well as assist in regulating their emotions.

A sensory table would do just this! The materials I have chosen would get my students exploring their senses, exercising their fingers, as well as providing the opportunity to use new vocabulary. My students have a great imagination and learn so much through play. Please consider donating to our project!
