This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My kindergarten class is a place for discovery and inquiry learning. The students are excited about going on a new learning adventure each and everyday. We spend the year exploring new foundation skills and concepts in all the subjects.
There is an enthusiasm for technology in my kindergarten class.
They thrive on using technology as a learning tool. I have 19 Kindergartners. They are eager to learn and love coming school. Many of my students qualify for the Title 1 Program. They come from poverty and high crime areas.Therefore, their resources are limited.
My Project
I am requesting two Chromebooks for my enthusiastic kindergarten students. Chromeboooks will provide the necessary resources access the Google classroom that my students need in order to expand their knowledge in all subjects. The students will be able to receive rigorous, differentiated, individualized instruction and assignments.
With these Chromebooks, my students will work collaboratively and gain access to a number of digital learning resources our school systems provides such as Storybird, Raz-kids, First in Math, and Nearpod.
They will be able to utilize educational games and have access to all the components of the Google classroom. This will ensure that their reading, math, writing and listening skills will improve.
Chromebooks in our classroom will be a great asset to all of my students because it will give them a wonderful opportunity to incorporate technology in all of their learning!
Having these two Chromebooks in my class can be the start of our technological journey to have a class set of Chromebooks.
