My Students

We are very diverse in our classroom but do not yet understand how diverse of a world that we live in. Please help us learn. These materials will help my students have hands on Science & Social Studies materials to better understand these disciplines. The globe and books will come in handy when learning about the world.

My school is an inner-city school in OK.

where many children have not had much exposure to things around them. Many are from single parent homes and or live with family due to lack of funds. For many kids, school is their safe haven. But just like any other child they are full of energy and eager to learn and therefore should have access to the same things that the higher class population does.

My Project

Science and Social Studies often get pushed to the side behind Reading and Math. I really want to be able to expose the children to the world around them and study other parts of the world & to understand the differences between people. The globe, puzzle and books about children around the world will be a hit with the kids I know. Also the books and earth theme box will really give them the hands on experience to understand just what their earth is made out of of. I can't wait to create fun and exciting lessons with these new materials.

I can't wait to be able to tell my students that people all around them want to donate money & help them learn about the other people in our world.

I know they will be so excited and appreciative!
