My students need creative music, especially the Dr. Jean Sets, such as "Kiss Your Brain," "Best of Science and Math," and "Cheer Along With Dr. Jean", that we can use to teach through music according to our content across the curriculum.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Do you remember the first song you ever learned - probably your ABC's. Music is a universal language. Especially among young children, it provides entertainment, cultural education and exercise. It can become a frequently used tool for us so I can maintain a positive environment in our classroom.
My Kindergarten students are very helpful and are spirited.
They are engaged and at this age have a motivation to learn. Each day we begin with music, usually a patriotic song. When group time begins the morning, we review the calendar with the "Days of the Week" song. Routine activities, such as numbers and phonics, could include music. A favorite song for numbers is "Johnny Works with One Hammer", not only involves the children with counting, but allows a time for movement. For a circle time lesson, including music, circle time (also known as Morning Routine) has always been my favorite time of the day in the Kindergarten Classroom. Here we will find a step by step review of circle time activities in a Kindergarten Classroom, circle time songs and learning activities for each curricula area. My students LOVE having music added to their curriculum they don't even know they are learning, they just think they are just having FUN! Isn't that a hoot!
My Project
My students need creative music, especially the Dr. Jean Sets, such as Kiss Your Brain, Best of Science and Math and Cheer Along With Dr. Jean, that we can use to teach through music according to our content across the curriculum. The Sing to Learn Cd will help my students with letter sounds, colors, word families, the concept of rhyming, skip-counting, geography, social studies also it includes The United States ▪ The Presidents ▪ The Shape Song ▪ Hickory Dickory Dock ▪ The Continents ▪ Oceans ▪ Directions ▪ Gumball ▪ Macarena Math ▪ The Numeral Song ▪ The Gumball Song ▪ Tooty-Ta (The Open Version, in which children can substitute other initial letter sounds.) ▪ The Numeral Song ▪ The Color Farm ▪ Rime Time ▪ Phon-excise ▪ Alphardy ▪ Good-Bye Song. These books come with a CD and reproducibles to make little books of Dr. Jean's most popular songs that I can copy for students to make and use in their browsing boxes or take home or I can enlarge and color them so I have song books in our class library. Some of her other titles include: I Love Letters which is the basic curriculum of Kindergarten.
I am so excited to get Dr. Jean songs and books to teach children through fun and repetition that will help children recall through these fun, memorable songs and read-along sing-along books.
Engaging songs and creative activities will help make teaching and learning FUN for my Kindergarten students. Dr. Jean's music stimulates interactive play, and this CD set is dedicated to getting children to MOVE! Dr. Jean's secret is to make it so much FUN they won’t realize it’s exercise.
