Kindergarten Leveled Books!

My students need leveled books that are of interest to them. They need a variety of books to keep them engaged and loving reading!

My Students

My students come from very diverse backgrounds. There are 8 different languages spoken in my classroom. Several students came in at the beginning of the year not speaking any English.

These kiddos are eager to learn every single day.

They have made incredible progress and I could not be more proud of their efforts and persistence.

My kids love reading new and exciting books. They get excited when they know a word in the text and feel proud when they use their skills to decode new words. As a new teacher, my library is limited. I would love to give my kids the ability to shop the classroom library and find books of their interest as well as be able to take books home to practice, as many students do not have these resources outside of school.

My Project

My students love reading! They enjoy a wide variety of books and like to be challenged. Currently, my library consists of a lot of hand-me-downs that do not fit my students' current reading levels. They especially enjoy when they are able to apply a skill they have just learned to a new book.

These books will allow my students to be independent readers by accessing texts at their level.

They will also give students ownership of their reading by allowing them to choose a variety of books they can read while applying new skills. These books will benefit my classes for years to come!
