Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

It has been a few years since I have taught kindergarten and boy, did it catch me off guard! This year I am teaching kindergarten at a brand new site and classroom. I went from a small class with older students, to a big classroom with younger students ready to explore! My students have special needs such as autism and they require differentiated materials.

With that being said, help me give my brand new students a classroom that allows them to explore different educational resources and different sensory resources that are adapted to their needs!

My students love to explore and rightfully so; school is all about learning. However, not all materials are right for them and as their teacher, I want to provide them with the resources they need. Differentiation in my room comes in different ways, from creating materials like books and matching activities, which we use the laminating sheets to create, to having a calm moment to think by using headphones.
