Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Kindergarten students are amazing and come to school excited to learn. I teach in a large Urban School District that has a very low spending budget for extra materials needed to help each child be successful. Our curriculum has an amazing technology piece geared to each student and their individual abilities. New headphones would really help each student from the distractions of other activities going on around them. Headphones will allow them to concentrate on what they are to be focused on.

My students love Magnet Tiles to show their creativity while they build.

It is so important to focus on their fundamental skills and encourages them to share and socialize with friends while they play and learn.

Kindergarten friends enjoy snacks each afternoon. Snack time gives them the opportunity to talk amongst one another about what they learned and their busy day. They eat lunch so early, so snacks help them focus on the afternoon activities. These materials will help all of my students be successful academically, socially, and mentally.
