The donations of hats and gloves came at a critical time during the extreme winter temperatures in Pittsburgh, ensuring my students could arrive warm, comfortable, and ready to learn. Having these essentials removed barriers and allowed students to focus more fully on instruction. Donations of food have also supported full bellies for learning, which has positively impacted students' focus, energy, and participation throughout the day. One especially meaningful classroom moment has been using celebrations of student accomplishments to build confidence and community—students light up when their hard work is recognized, and these moments have strengthened motivation and pride in their learning.\r\nWhen students first saw the materials and support provided through this project, they were excited and deeply appreciative. Many were eager to wear their new hats and gloves right away, and the classroom celebrations brought joy and a sense of belonging. The food supports have also been impactful, helping students feel cared for and secure. My students have reacted not just with excitement, but with gratitude, and they understand that there are people beyond our classroom cheering them on and investing in their success.\r\nAs we move forward, these resources continue to support our next steps in both academics and classroom culture. We are using this foundation of care and encouragement to strengthen perseverance, celebrate growth, and keep students engaged in current lessons and goals. We will continue using celebrations to recognize milestones, encourage positive habits, and motivate students as they work toward academic growth.
