Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Heritage Elementary school is a welcoming, dedicated, and wonderful place to work. My classroom is home to a group of Kindergartners who are eager to explore and learn about the world around them each and every day.

The mission of our school is to ensure student success for all students, no matter what circumstances.

It is my goal as an educator to make sure my students have the best classroom environment possible in order for them to grow in all aspects of their learning and development. With close to 80% of our students coming from low income families, not all students are provided with the necessary materials that they need. My hopes is to provide my students with everything required to surpass their potentials on a daily basis.

My Project

A majority of students in my classroom belong to families of low income. Unfortunately, they do not all have educational games or activities to engage in at home. I want to make sure when my students come to my classroom, they have the opportunity to explore the best educational materials which will help them grow each and every day. I can already imagine the smile on their faces as I introduce the new and exciting materials to them. The magna tiles are going to quickly become a new favorite station in our exploration time! The sound sorting boards and snap and slide number bonds will serve as perfect literacy and math centers! The write and swipe and dot art painters will be materials that can be used in centers all year long and of course the bins will help organize it all for the students convinience. They will appreciate everything so very much!
