As a Kindergarten teacher, creativity is everything! My students love hands-on activities and to be creative. Together, we navigate our day through reading stories, individual play and creation stations; all while applying our common core curriculum. As a first year Kindergarten teacher, I have hopes and dreams of creating a fun filled-safe environment where they can role play, dive into reading and math rotations and group work. My students are eager to explore new challenges and discover a world where learning is fun!
My Project
The Melissa and Doug puppets will be used as a reading creation station during our community member and fairy tale common core reading units!
The sensory table will be used for a math and reading center.
The students will hunt for numbers, letters and sight words while feeling there way through materials such as rice, macaroni, water beads etc.
The play kitchen will be used for role playing and life skills such as washing dishes, cleaning, cooking, and sharing.
The puzzles will be used as a morning station in the earlier months of Kindergarten, to practice fine motor and concentration skills!
