Kindergarten Classroom Needs

My Students

I work in a school that has wonderful families and community members that really come together to give the students what they really need. I have will have 23 students in my Kindergarten classroom. I love how the students come in every morning with a fresh start, ready to learn, and a love for school.

I am so fortunate to work in such an environment that lives to serve others.

I teach General Ed Kindergarten students. I have several students who have individual education plans, typically developing at risk, and dual language learners.

My Project

Thank you so much for your consideration in donating to our classroom. I am in my 13th year teaching, but this is my first year in kindergarten. I have a brand new kindergarten room which means the classroom needs to be stocked with some basic supplies and organization needs.

These materials will be used in the classroom to help organize the room and create independence within the kindergarten classroom.

Students are learning to keep materials and papers organized. They will use the paper organizers to keep construction paper organized for painting and other art projects. They will use the hanging file folders to keep their papers organized they will take home.

The other item requested is for finger puppets. Students love finger puppets and the stories that can be told. It's always fun to see the students take ownership of these materials as they retell these stories and songs.
