Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Someone once told me that it took a special person to teach kindergarten, and I feel honored to teach students at this time in their life.

All kindergarteners have a natural curiosity, enthusiasm, and big hearts.

They come to school ready to explore, play, and celebrate each other. As we approach the end of the year, I want to honor their growth and make our final weeks together meaningful and fun.

Here's how each resource will help:

Laminating sheets & dry erase markers/spray — These keep our learning materials fresh and reusable throughout the year. It allows us to practice skills repeatedly without waste, making learning interactive and engaging.

Extra pencils — My kindergarteners are still developing fine motor skills. Having plenty of pencils on hand ensures every student can practice writing and drawing without interruption.

Class prizes — While we try to cultivate intrinsic learning, small rewards are a great way to celebrate good choices like helping a friend or trying their best and learning from mistakes together as a class.

End-of-year gifts like the rainbow scratch paper — These special gifts celebrate their kindergarten journey and will remind them of the joy of learning as they prepare for first grade during the summer.

Together, these supplies help my students finish strong, feel celebrated, and carry their love of learning into the next chapter.
