This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are on a journey of a lifetime, their educational journey. Teaching during covid was scary, but by far the best year I've had teaching so far! I have learned and gained so much from my students this past year.

My students mainly come from low-income households, but that doesn't hold them back from being so creative with their learning.

They are bright, kind, curious, and so smart.

My Project

I am trying to get a jump start on the 2021 - 2022 school year! We were one of a handful of schools in DISD to extend our school year, so we will be returning in July with 100% face-to-face learners!

I love providing my students with a warm environment and Astro Bright's paper certainly does the trick!

Having a welcoming classroom makes learning so much more fun and it really gets their attention drawn to things.

I have been teaching for a couple of years now, so most of the supplies I got on my first donor's choose project have almost run out! I am wanting to get my student's classroom sets of markers, crayons, stamps, notebooks, and glue so that we can be self-sufficient in our classroom.
