Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a diverse group of little learners. Our school is an inner-city neighborhood school. A high percentage of my students come from low-income families and 100% of the students at our school receive free lunch. My students work hard and are excited to come to school each day and grow together. Our kindergarteners love learning and growing together!

My Project

My students will use these tubs to hold various hands on learning activities. Our classroom does not currently have storage bins for students. The clear containers will serve as storage that the students can independently select and use for learning. My goal is to provide students with play-based activities to further continue their academic development during morning arrival, after finishing work, and during center time. The containers will hold center activities for both small groups and independent work.

These containers will hold activities to enhance academic, social-emotional, and fine motor development.

These tubs will contain center materials such as patterning cards and cubes, letter shape cards and play doh, matching games, build-a-word tiles, tangrams and picture cards, and straw and play-doh sculpture materials. Please help give us the storage we need for our fun learning activities!
