For many of these students, school is the only place they are exposed to many of the materials that they can use to learn, such as blocks, art supplies, dramatic play props, puzzles, and writing utensils. It is my goal to create an environment in which my pre-k students feel welcome to explore the world around them using the materials provided. I want my students to ask questions and seek ways to discover, experiment, observe, and answer those questions. As a teacher in a low income, high poverty district, finding a way to acquire everyday materials that are crucial to child development can be difficult. A significant amount of my paycheck each month goes to buying new materials for my classroom. It is my hope that through Donor's Choose I can find a way to raise money to help my classroom!! Thank you!
