Help me give my students STEAM bins in order to explore the world of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics through educational activities.
My kindergarten students love to learn and being challenged. It's the highlight of their day! Their favorite way to learn includes hands on activities that encourage creativity and interaction with others. For many of my students, it is their first time in school and the ability to share and take turns needs practice. Through purposeful play children develop the skills they need to expand their physical, emotional, and social abilities. Developing these skills in kindergarten makes a huge difference in the education of all children.
My Project
Kindergarten students love interactive hands on activities! Providing students these learning opportunities is an excellent way to teach them problem-solving skills as well as how to work cooperatively with others. Social skills such as sharing, taking turns, working as a team, and taking care of materials are important skills that STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) activities help develop in young children. These STEAM activities will be used daily in our classroom during purposeful block play. It is imperative that today's learner be able to engage in higher order thinking skills in order to create innovative solution. Those skills must start in early childhood educational settings.
