My Students

I've got an amazing class of second graders. They love to learn and are excited to come to school everyday. Some of them have challenging situations at home and I'm happy to supply the stable environment that kids need in their daily lives. As a second grade team, the students rotate through the other two teachers classrooms at different parts of the day in order to ensure each student is getting the support they need or enrichment activities. I enjoy these rotations because it allows me to work with many second graders. We monitor their growth and progress as a team and work together to best enhance the education of all second graders in our school.

My Project

Second graders have incredible energy and love to move. Being able to give them a classroom where flexible seating is an option would greatly benefit them.

Some children physically need to move throughout the day and those children would benefit from having a wobble seat as their regular chair.

For other kids, a wobble chair is a great reward for positive behavior. A "Star Student" of the day could have a wobble chair. Someone celebrating a birthday could have the wobble chair for the day. There are multiple ways to allow all students access to the wobble chairs as an incentive throughout the school year.

I believe in providing an environment that allows all children to be the best learners they can be during the school day. Wobble chairs is one more way that I can provide that in my classroom.
