My Students

This year has been a year like no other. Not just because we have a pandemic going on but because our third graders are excited to be back in school, grateful, and engaged. They are a phenomenal group who are rising to the challenge of a new experience and each day has been an absolute treat with them!

They put forth exceptional effort and are resilient and adaptive.

There really is no more beautiful place in the world than in these classrooms teaching these kids. What a gift!

My Project

Third grade is the time when students move from novice readers to falling in love with books! These class sets will help my students truly engage with texts as we read. There are also books here that can be checked out for silent reading in class or reading at home to foster the integration into life long reading. During this Covid time, we need to get kids loving things that take time that aren't digital as well. The brain needs to process words on a page and get off of the online screen - as much as the miracle of technology is amazing.
