My Project
The composting bins will be part of our STEM education. This will be an engaging way that students can connect to the earth's enviroment. What a wonderful outside adventure this would be! An interactive and educational way to bring all contents outside such as social studies or reading.
The wheelbarrows would aid in the carrying of the food scraps, grass clippings or leaves to a desiginated compost site.
Young students love to push things around. They are the right height for busy hands whether they are kindergartners or second graders.
Having composting as a tool for learning about decomposition promotes an opportunity for growth and particpation in hands on activities. The ultimate goal is to involved students in an outdoor classroom that supports independence, collaboration and learning about our natural enviroment.
