My Students

The students at my school are voracious learners who are ready to take on any challenge. They are kind and caring about their learning community and those who share the environment with them. They are dedicated to themselves and truly love to learn.

The students at my school also have some boundaries to overcome.

Of the approximately 600 students enrolled, over 50% are considered living in a low income household. Even with these challenges, the students are able to rise up and succeed.

My Project

Kids can be the difference. UNICEF offers classroom bundles so students can use their physical abilities to provide food bundles for malnourished children around the world. These bands track movement and activity during brainbreaks and classroom activities. The points accumulate through the free UNICEF Kid Power UP app.

I want my students to know that their activities in this world CAN make a difference in others' lives.

These bands offer my students the ability to saves LIVES world-wide. That is the most powerful activity that I could ever teach them as their teacher. I'm so excited to show them this reality!
